Ideally, I would be starting this from the very beginning of my research. However, at this point I am coming towards the end of my data collection!

My research is hoping to develop new ideas and knowledge about the emotional impacts of residential environmental education and further explore how field experiences of nature influence young people. The success of this research is highly dependant on working closely with The Field Studies Council and their centre based at Slapton Ley as well as working closely with visiting schools.

This research is based on students own experiences of environmental education and the methods used are designed so they can capture these experiences as they happen. An important element of this research is also the way students lives and cultures may affect how they experience environmental education, as a result, students perceptions of environmental education and the natural world are also explored.

I will use this blog to give a more detailed account of each element of my research and to update with current findings and other projects that I do along the way.
